“Panorama of Modern Brazilian Architecture: From the 1950s to the Present”  in IIT’s Crown Hall

Initiated by Ciro Pirondi, the director of the Escola da Cidade, and brought to the U.S. by Martin Klaeschen, the exhibit is a co-curated product between both institutions. Generously supported by the Consulate-General of Brazil, it displays the projects of Brazilian architects including Oscar Niemeyer, Lina Bo Bardi and Paulo Mendes da Rocha. The exhibit consists of 58 panels, each one containing descriptions of the architects’ projects in both English and Spanish, along with design concepts, drawings and photographs.
